Is flex testing of skate and classic skis available?
Yes, we have a precise Swiss Point Tester that measures a ski's flex in kilograms. Any pair of racing skis we stock can be flex tested for the customer before purchasing to ensure optimal fit. For skating skis, the desired flex is usually between 85 and 120% of body weight. For classic skis, soft-track, hard-wax flex is around 55 - 75%, while hard-track can be 65 - 75% of body weight. Klister skis should be about 70-90% of the skier's body weight. But, there have been many exceptions to these "rules" proven by World Cup racers!
