Metal Grip is a polyethylene wire with adhesive used to repair base damage next to the metal edge or very deep scratches at the base. The newest technology in base repair allows standard base material to adhere to the ski edges and core offering a much better bond than co- polymer. Metal grip is designed to only fill up half the repair area that is against the ski core or edge. Once metal grip has been applied, standard base repair material (P-Tex) is laid over it for a finished repair.
